Our Story

Jordan Truck Sales was founded in 1987 when Ronnie Jordan, who had been working in the fleet maintenance department at a large manufacturing company, decided to start his own business. He quickly developed a passion for trucks, taking the opportunity to learn about truck specifications and the mechanical foundation of diesel engines. His growing interest pushed him to learn about the trucking industry as a whole, which eventually led him to operating JTS out of his home with two trucks parked in the front yard.

The business was a success, so much so that in 1993 Ronnie was able to purchase the company’s current location in Carrollton, Georgia, on Highway 61. A few years later, in 2000, we expanded by adding on an 18,000-square-foot shop to perform truck reconditioning. And in 2005, Truck Blue Book named JTS “Independent Used Truck Dealer of the Year.” A decade later, we added a 15,000-square-foot warehouse facility in order to better serve the needs of its customers.

Family-Operated

Today, 39 years after its founding, Jordan Truck Sales sits on 38 acres and offers a large selection of used trucks and trailers for sale. Ronnie Jordan continues to oversee the company with help from his wife, Debra, and his sons, Jake and Dustin, who are involved in day-to-day operations. JTS is also a long-time member of the Used Truck Association (UTA), with Ronnie serving as a board member in the past and currently as an Active Advisor.

We currently have over 40 employees, half of whom have been with us for more than five years, and including some who have been with the company for over 25 years. Because our employee base is so consistent, you can rest assured that you will always be dealing with familiar faces and not have to worry that your favorite salesperson wont’ be around the next time you’re in the market for a truck or trailer.
